Standards of the work of SuH

How the SuH team handles data and details from counselling contacts. Who is part of the team is introduced under About us > The team.

  1. outsiders are not given insight or information about details of the counselling sessions. Our behaviour is based on the practice of confidentiality among doctors and therapists. We are not under a legal duty of confidentiality, but we guarantee confidentiality.
  2. what someone has done in the past is not decisive for us. Our prevention work is focussed exclusively on the NOW and the future, because you can learn from the past, but you can only change something in the future.
  3. information received in the course of our work for SuH is sometimes exchanged and discussed within the team. For example, for counselling and supervision. Each team member decides at their own discretion what information they share with the others and what advice they do or do not seek from them. Note: Confidentiality towards other team members can never be demanded, but nobody in the team has to share particularly intimate or irrelevant information. 4 We work to ensure that paedophiles can lead a happy and safe life. Should there ever be a conflict with the integrity of a child, the best interests of the child always take precedence. In our more than ten-year history, however, this has never happened. 5 We do everything in our power to ensure the safety and anonymity of our users. However, everyone must also play their part, for example by using pseudonyms, proxies, TOR or anonymous e-mail addresses. If we become aware of clear data (e.g. by mistake or in confidence), we will treat it as described in section 1.

Further information on the technical handling of data, for example, can be found in the privacy policy linked at the bottom of each page.
